Pauli writes on an article by Kerenyi on Greek mythology and its connection with certain ideas which lately occupied Pauli's mind.

Pauli invites Yang to a lecture in Zürich. He comments on an interpretation of a recent experiment by Garvin and Ledermann and by Deutsch and Frauenfelder on parity violation. He critizices two-component theory. He writes of his own views on T-invariance and conservation of Lepton-Charge. Only the development of quantized field theories will provide answers to the deeper questions.

This is a supplement to the letter of the 26th May 1957. Pauli comments on a theoretical paper by Preston (Birmingham) which fits well with Pauli's critical attitude towards the two-component theory. He writes about Preston's proposal to give up the conservation of leptons. Pauli thinks that T-invariance seems still to be possible.

Pauli makes a few more remarks on Heisenberg's manuscript.

Pauli talks about a manuscript sent by Heisenberg and a question whether unitarity of S-matrix, commutativity of field-operators and regularity of commutators on the light-cone can be fulfilled in the case of abandoning a positive-definite metric. He writes about Wightman's axioms and their inapplicability to physics.

Pauli talks about some remarks by Källén on Heisenberg's manuscript.

Pauli suggests a note correcting the results of Nishijima. He questions whether Heisenberg's description of physical scattering processes in the Lee model comes to grief through discrete states of negative norm or of complex energy He also asks whether "Heisenberg-models" can be constructed for which the unitarity of the S-matrix is preserved in an indefinite metric of the field-operators?
