Lichnerowicz reply to Pauli's letter of 21 Sept. He explains in detail his hypothesis which Pauli finds "very unnatural".

Lichnerowicz sends offprints of his recent papers, especially one on the integration of Einstein's equations. He compares his results with those of Pauli's paper in the Annals of Math.

Lichnerowicz reply to Pauli's letter of 15 Nov which has crossed his letter. Pauli's formula is identical to that of Lichnerowicz. He has solved the problem which interests them both and hopes that Pauli will agree to publish a note on it together with him.

Lichnerowicz refers to the paper of Pauli and Einstein in Annals of Mathematics 1943 ("On the non-existence of regular stationary solutions of relativistic field equations"), and points out that in 1938 and 1939 he has developed a theorem nearly identical with that indicated by Pauli.
