Lichnerowicz refers to the paper of Pauli and Einstein in Annals of Mathematics 1943 ("On the non-existence of regular stationary solutions of relativistic field equations"), and points out that in 1938 and 1939 he has developed a theorem nearly identical with that indicated by Pauli.
