Pauli writes in detail about Einstein's arguments against the usual interpretation of quantum mechanics: Einstein is against Bohm and De Broglie, but he believes that the statistical description of quantum mechanics is incomplete. He also writes about Einstein's "realistic metaphysics" and Pauli's attitude towards it.

Pauli writes about the date of a conference in Mainz where Pauli intends to lecture on "Die Wissenschaft und das abendländische Denken". He plans to write a paper on "Exclusion principle, Lorentz group and reflexions of space-time and charge".

Pauli thanks Wightman for his letter of the 6th January 1955 which settles all important mathematical questions.
