Pauli made some additions to Bhabha's paper for the Bohr Festschrift. He says it is impossible to quantize the Bhabha equation according to Fermi-Dirac statistics without using an indefinite metric in Hilbert-space. Pauli says he will know his future plans better in six months, including the possibility of a visit to the Tata-Institute (India).

Pauli thanks him for his congratulations concerning the Nobel ceremony and he reports on the physics meeting in New York at the end of January. Pauli is going on a trip with his wife in four weeks to Europe.

Pauli confirms that there will be a physics meeting in Basel in September. Schwinger, Rabi, Fermi, Cockcroft, Dyson and others have promised to come. Pauli is going to Princeton in November, but he will be back in May 1950. He gives some comments on his own latest work.

The trip to India is planed for November. Pauli proposes to talk about field quantization and to hold a seminar on open problems in theoretical physics. Pauli hopes to see a presentation by Salam on his work on meson theory. Pauli invites Bhabha for a visit to Zürich during his Europe trip.

Pauli encountered some difficulties in obtaining his visa from the Indian embassy of Bern.

Pauli gives his thoughts about Bhabha's examination of a translation of a classical field theory with some singularities. Fierz went through Bagge's calculation on the Blau and Wambacher's experiment and found some discrepancies. Pauli is going to accept a Princeton invitation.

The time has come for Pauli to go to India. He thinks that he could get leave from Zürich and should be in India from November 1952 until the end of February 1953. He asks if that suits Bhabha. He says theoretical physics is not making much progress. Källén is working on the question to look behind the veil of Dyson's power series. The new Swiss "infant prodigy", Alder, is working on angular correlation, shell model and related problems and Shafrot on superconductivity. He wonders about his lecture obligations in India.

Pauli has just finished an article with Dancoff on meson theory and he sends its contents. He gives some comments on the war's consequences on physic.
