He writes about the results of calculations and about the scattering of light by light. Pauli writes about Uhlenbeck's appointment in Utrecht. Pauli is glad that Kronig has written to him, in spite of Pauli's remark regarding the spin problem (in Tübingen). Pauli makes some remarks about him and Uhlenbeck. He thinks that Kronig should go to America, in spite of his doubts. He makes remarks on Jordan's and de Broglie's paper on the neutrino.

Pauli comments in detail on the paper by Einstein-Podolski-Rosen and suggest that Heisenberg should write a reply. He analyzes the problem of composition and separation of systems in quantum mechanics. He is against Laue's and Einstein's idea that quantum mechanic is correct but incomplete. He comments on Wick's paper on the magnetic moment of the proton.

Heisenberg writes on the treatment of an example according to Neumann's method: the case of an electron in a force field with probably 1/2 for right or left spin. He talks of a application of the result to field theory, of the possibility of representing the state of a system by a matrix depending on a finite number of degrees of freedom, and of some of his doubts about this possibility.
