Part of Archives of Wolfgang Pauli

Pauli writes about the planned Bohr Festschrift. He makes some remarks about Bohr's attempt to create a kind of a religion of complementarity as in former times one has made "energetics" into a sort of "world religion". But the basis of physics is too narrow for such attempts. One should resist the natural impulse which grows with age, to bring everything under one roof.

Pauli replies to Heisenberg's letter of 27 February. He thinks that understanding between him and Heisenberg may be impossible, because he regards Heisenberg's calculations and interpretation as "wishful thinking". There is a discussion of the parity problem.
