W. Pauli is informed that the Danish royal academy of science has elected him as an honorary member.

Pauli agrees with Weyl's incorporation of gravitation in Dirac's theory of the electron, and with his rejection of Fern-parallelisme. He writes about as yet unsolved difficulties of Dirac's theory and two-component theory. He writes about field quantization.

Pauli talks about his decision to go to Hamburg. He writes about the difficulties of Bohr's theory of the periodic system. He makes observations about equivalent electron orbits. He says that there is a failure in classical mechanics. He comments on the introduction of half-integer values for j and m. He talks about his own work on the anomalious Zeeman-effect and about Heisenberg's theory of doublets.

Pauli wants to see Landé's manuscript. He also talks about the displacement of terms in strong fields.
