              Letter from Lüders to Pauli
              Letter-2660 · Pièce · 1957/07/02
Fait partie de Archives of Wolfgang Pauli

Lüders makes more remarks about his own theory of the neutrino field, and about the two-component theory with conservation of lepton-charge.

              Letter from Pauli to Källén
              Letter-2855 · Pièce · 1958/02/06
Fait partie de Archives of Wolfgang Pauli

Pauli talks about the preliminary report which he and Heisenberg have circulated about their joint work. Pauli does not believe anymore in many of the statements in this report. He has written to Heisenberg that the assumption of vacuum degeneration does not seem any more necessary to him. He writes about his talk with Gürsey in Brookhaven. Pauli speaks of his optimism about the solution of the general formal questions which have nothing to do with group theory. He believes that the symmetry violations do not depend on arbitrary terms in the Hamiltonian but on the metric in Hilbert-space.

Pauli discusses Schwinger's paper "A theory of fundamental interaction" published in Annuals of Physics2, 407, 1957 which treats the mirror problem in an alternative way.

Fait partie de Archives of Wolfgang Pauli

Pauli talks about the formulation of the present state of their considerations: a spinor model (Lagrange function and vacuum expectation values) cannot have any invariance property from which the vanishing of rest masses can be concluded. From the assumption of exact C-invariance and $\gamma{s}$-invariance this vanishing follows. Therefore they have added terms violating $\gamma{s}$-invariance.

              Letter from Pauli to Symanzik
              Letter-2922 · Pièce · 1958/03/13
Fait partie de Archives of Wolfgang Pauli

Pauli writes about the eigenvalue problem in formal systems without given Hamiltonian and interchange relations (Vertauschungsrelationen), on which, to his opinion, the future of the spinormodel depends.

              Letter-2953 · Pièce · 1958/03/30
Fait partie de Archives of Wolfgang Pauli

Pauli writes about his plans for the near future. He critizes the possibility of deriving particles with half-integer regular spin and integer isotopin from a spinor-field.
